Since the year is nearly coming to a close, I think its fair to end it with a bang--without the literal banging. Redvolution Manila is where you get to rave, for a cause. This event is held to raise awareness for HIV through an attempt in making a world record-beater red ribbon made up of thousands of people. I kind of found it ironic though because usually rave parties like this is where people tend to get drunk and bang afterwards--they gave out free condoms to everyone, I might add.
Anyway, we went to there just in time to participate for the ribbon making before the rave starts. Although it wasn't that crowded yet but everyone was wearing the red shirts from the event. Drones were everywhere and people were just starting to get pumped at first. A lot of stars, bands and DJs were set to perform which was great because they were willing to show their support too for the cause of the rave.

Just like everyone else, it was important for us to get a good spot in the moshpit. You have to be near the stage but safe enough not to suffocate. Luckily we were at the barriers so there's no problem for us when there'll be pushing and crowding during the rave--we already learned our lesson from Hydromanila.

The hosts, Erika Padilla and Sam YG, were awesome as usual. The first band to perform was Silent Sanctuary. As you know, I've been wanting to see this band to perform live for a while now when I missed them during Hydromanila. (There were literally long lines during Hydro and during SS's set, we were still in queue. I'd like to commend Hydro this time since we were able to get inside the venue with no hassle.) Next to perform was Up Dharma Down. Now this band has been around for a while now and I'd have to say, the instruments and the vocals are out of this world, they just lack showmanship. I mean everyone in the crowd was literally quiet during their set. Still, they were great though. And finally Parokya ni Edgar steps in. This is the second time I got to see them live. (The first time was during my bestfriend's 18th birthday and PnE performed with Kamikazee. I still can't believe they disbanded, and I missed their final concert just recently.) The best part about PnE's set is when Chito always gives great tips to guys on how they should treat girls properly, and of course their songs made me forget that I was dying of hunger. They also performed the legendary 'Bagsakan' song along with Abra.

After dinner we wanted to get back to the moshpit since the DJs were already playing their sets. One thing I loved about this event was their drinks. I mean it was my first time drinking Jagerbull and honestly, spending 100 pesos for it was worth it. You get hyped, without getting that wasted. The entire night until 4 am, we were raving out butts out. It was already starting to get a little naughty in the crowd by then.
Tired, and sleepy, we still managed to come home safe. The event was awesome as usual, and it was for a cause which makes it even better.
